About Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy employs the reason of both heart and mind to assist people to reach their fullest potential.

Psychotherapy is a healing process that takes place in the context of the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist. Within this framework, a psychotherapist can assist a client to examine their lives, tend to past hurts and enhance self-awareness. This can result in achieving more satisfying relationships with ourselves and with others.

As members of families and in the society and cultural context in which we grow up, we develop ways of managing ourselves and our emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy offers us an opportunity to recognise these difficulties, discover more of what has been unconscious, and make new decisions based on an increased understanding of ourselves.

' The heart has its reasons which reason knows nothing of.'
