I work with individuals, including young people, and couples. I work with issues of long standing, those "stuck", repetitive, distressing feelings and patterns of behaviour that perplex us and leave us feeling defeated. I have a special interest in relationship issues, including step-parenting, and problems that have a physical aspect. I also offer clinical supervision to other practitioners, and professional supervision to those in management and governance positions. I am also a teacher of the Alexander Technique.

I work with a range of clients with general presenting issues for therapy. I am particularly known for, and enjoy, working with men and adolescents. I have worked in a range of therapy agencies in Auckland and in the DHB forensic mental health and disability services including in leadership positions. Within these environments I gathered extensive experience working around issues to do with sexually harmful and/or problematic sexual behaviours and take referrals from lawyers, probation services and from Oranga Tamariki and other therapists. I also offer clinical and professional supervision to therapists, group leaders and other health professionals.

I have a warm, affirmative approach and work with clients at their own pace in either short-term or long-term work. I take a relational, systems-oriented and collaborative approach to therapy with a strong belief in the creative genius present in all people to find their way through their particular challenges with guidance and support.
